Having guests? You might want to upgrade that TV situation…
This is something I’m keenly aware of, giving my aging (and at this point, positively puny) set – it works, it’s just small. If you’re in that same boat as me, and you want to have some solid family movie time, Vizio has some interesting options available.

Philips Hue brings back ambient light to your TV
Years ago, Philips made TVs with a feature called “ambilight”. Ambilight was a series of LEDS on the back of the TV running around the edge. They turned on the LED color to match whatever picture was displayed on screen at the edges. This extended the hues of the picture onto the wall. Now, Philips have brought it back, using Hue lightbulbs and the new Hue Play HDMI Sync Box.

Amazon Fire TV is on fire at IFA (so many new products)
Amazon is releasing a lot of new Fire TV products at IFA 2019 in Berlin. In the past, FireTV was relegated to only Amazon devices or TVs from TCL, who also make Roku TVs. This all changes now.
