Afternoon Beer Break: the Rogue Pineapple Party Punch

Yes, after a hiatus of sorts, the beer break is back! Though, this one is a bit different, as we’re talking about a beer that isn’t quite available yet. Read on to see what the Rogue Pineapple Party Punch will do for your tastebuds in October.

Yes, October – while many folks will be thinking pumpkin pie flavors (and I do have my favorites in that arena), there’s still plenty of room for other flavors, right? And sure, these flavors here (pineapple? punch?) sound more like summer, but this year is all upside down, so why not mix up those seasonal flavors? Here’s what the brand has to say about it:

“Bursting with pineapple, coconut, and bright hop flavors, this imperial hazy IPA is reminiscent of our favorite tropical drink, the Piña Colada,” says Hagen Moore, VP of Marketing and Creative. “Summer may be ending, but this hazy, flavorful brew will help you keep the summer vibes going all year long. Pineapple Party Punch is just what we need to finish out 2020.”

I’ve had some mixed experiences with coconut (I’ve found them to be a great addition to sour beers), and pineapple tends to be a more muted note in the beers I’ve tried that have it. This combo here, all wrapped up in a hazy IPA, well, that sounds like one that might just work. Keep an eye out for it this fall, and check out the details over at rogue.com

Afternoon Beer Break – some newer offerings from Rogue

As often as we can – whatever it is we’re covering – we like to go hands-on with the product in question. And, in all of our Afternoon Beer Breaks, we’ve done precisely that. Today, however, we’re going to cover things from a distance, so to speak, and talk to you about a few newer offerings coming out from Rogue.

The Afternoon Beer Break goes hard with Rogue whiskeys

As you know, we usually feature, well, beers in the Afternoon Beer Break. Some of the brands that we’re in contact with produce other interesting beverages (such as those CBD-infused seltzers we talked about a bit back). Well, you may not be aware of it, but Rogue doesn’t just make beer – they also have a number of liquors in their portfolio. Today, we’re running through a sampler of four different styles.

The Afternoon Break: tasting some Rogue Canned Cocktails

I know, I know – this is normally the Afternoon Beer Break – but hey, not everyone likes beer, and who knows, maybe you’re looking for a change of pace. There is no doubt that canned cocktails have come on strong (I had an amazingly good M+S scotch and soda while stuck in Manchester earlier this year), and the beer brands are riding that wave. To that end, I was able to try out three different varieties of canned cocktails from the crew over at Rogue Ales and Spirits.

Afternoon Beer Break: Rogue Santa’s Private Reserve

Well, friends, we’ve made it through another work week. For many of you, this probably signals the start of a long stretch of time off. Whether or not you celebrate the upcoming events, you can’t help but to be aware of the bearded dude in the red suit popping up everywhere. In fact, he showed up on a surprise shipment that came in from Rogue, in the form of the Rogue Santa’s Private Reserve.

Afternoon Beer Break: Rogue Coast Haste

Many beer brands offer seasonal varieties in their product lineups, and it makes sense. As the weather shifts, you tend to look for something different (and it never hurts to give your palate a break as well). Well, Rogue does things a bit differently (because that’s what Rogue does) with a seasonal beer, and that’s demonstrated by the Rogue Coast Haste.
