In our last Afternoon Beer Break, we featured a gluten-reduced offering from Stone Brewing that was very much in the “sessionable” category with it’s lower ABV (and lower carbs and calories, to boot). Afternoon Beer Break: Stone Features + Benefits

In the world of IPAs, it can feel like there’s some sort of arms race where the ABVs keep climbing higher and higher. And sure, those can be great flavor bombs, but sometimes it can just be a bit much. That’s why we’re seeing brewers experiment more with lighter offerings, that cut down on some of the excess. Recently, I tried some Stone Features + Benefits which does just that.

This year has, well, been a year. We had gotten on a roll with the Afternoon Beer Break, and then it just got away from us. Well, 2021 is just around the bend. Today’s is one that I would never have run across were it not for a fortuitous trade, and it introduced me to something I’d not experienced before – an IPA brewed with coffee. The beer in question?
