Ready for summer grilling and chilling – the BioLite FirePit Cooking Kit

We’ve written about BioLite and their FirePit a few times in the past, both in terms of reviewing the original version (you can see that here), as well as some of the improvements that they made earlier this year. Well, now we’re back into the swing of backyard grilling and campfires, so we thought we’d bring this back up, as we saw a small price drop on the BioLite FirePit Cooking Kit.

Now Funding: the Buccaneer Skillet

At some point a few years back, I realized that cooking was a hobby of mine. Sure, it’s something that needs to be done in order to eat, but it’s also something that I rather enjoy doing. As a result, we’ve had a few different pieces of cast iron enter into the arsenal, but it can have some drawbacks that the Buccaneer Skillet look to address.

The BioLite FirePit – now accesorized!

If you recall, over the summer, we went hands-on with the BioLite Camp Stove (seen here). I came away impressed with the little stove (and the gadgety goodness it brought to the mix). Well, if you’re thinking you want that tech, but supersized, they’ve got you covered. The BioLite FirePit has been around a bit (and looks pretty cool in my opinion), and today’s news extends it’s capabilities.

The future of smart appliance cooking is here – and it?s kind of dumb

You may have heard, but there was just a little trade show that happened the other week out in Las Vegas called the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). In and amongst the things that were announced was the CookingPal Julia, which ostensibly is looking to simplify your cooking routines with some smarts.
