Afternoon Beer Break: Left Hand Nitro Imperial Coffee Milk Stout

Over the last year or two, I’ve found myself leaning more towards the IPA styles of beers, particularly as the hop varieties have been played with, and all sorts of interesting flavors unfold. Before that, however, I was a “the darker the better” sort of a guy, and in the cold weather months, I tend to drift back to those stouts and porters. Given the amount of coffee I regularly consume, I was quite interested to see the Left Hand Nitro Imperial Coffee Milk Stout show up in a recent sampler we got in.

Sippin’ at the desk all day, with the Pelican Dayventure Tumbler

The Afternoon Beer Break: Topa Topa Brewing Co Howler

Well, well, well – would you look at that? We’ve made it through another week and, oh yes, it’s time for another beer review. Today’s is one that I would never have run across were it not for a fortuitous trade, and it introduced me to something I’d not experienced before – an IPA brewed with coffee. The beer in question? The Topa Topa Brewing Co Howler.
