As of late, my audio world has been true wireless earbuds (for when I exercise) and over-ear ANC headphones (for while I’m working). There is another category out there for headphones that I have a bit of a fascination with – bone conduction headsets. My buddy got a pair a few years ago, and I was surprised by how well they worked. Well, now we’ve got Sentien bringing another set to your cranium.

As a new convert to higher-end audio gear, I was curious about headphone pre-amps and DACs. While I haven’t yet dropped $5,000 on a set of speaker cables, I am willing to give some things a try.
My first purchase? An Asgard 2 from Schiit Audio. First introduced in 2013, this headphone amp and pre-amp does one thing and does it well: you plug in your regular outputs – be they a computer or audio system or whatever – and listen to the sound on headphones. A pair of RCA outputs on the back let you pump the sound into powered speakers and a simple switch sets the gain – either 6db or 18db.

The Sonos Port looks to be the best-sounding way to make your old receiver or Hi-Fi work with Sonos. Sonos music has been a good offering for years: all the music you can stream. The problem is, how do you get the good music to come out of the good speakers?

Amazon is releasing a lot of new Fire TV products at IFA 2019 in Berlin. In the past, FireTV was relegated to only Amazon devices or TVs from TCL, who also make Roku TVs. This all changes now.
